"Merriweather Lovelace" the Woodland Fae Pegasus
"Merriweather Lovelace" is a Magical Forest Friend talisman and animal companion. His body is made of a soft tan wool fabric, with an antique-like gold upcycled fabric for his underbelly. His forehead and the tops of his wings are a base of gold satin material, with an overlay of sparkling gold and cream-colored lace. The bottoms of his wings are brown and the edges of the wings are stitched together with metallic gold thread.
His hooves are tan faux fur interspersed with tiny strands of black, with gold satin feet bottoms. His ears are the same tan fur inside with brown wool felt on the outside/back of the ears. His Fae antlers are brown wool felt with gold stitching. We call him a "Woodland Fae" pegasus because he has antlers, fur hooves, and fur ears, which is very Faerie!
His mane and tail are made of a variety of yarns: thick cream wool roving, a couple of different shades of natural tan yarns (wool and cotton), a thin, kinky brown wool yarn, and sparkly, metallic gold eyelash yarn. His eyes are plastic safety eyes.
Lastly, he has a large moth appliqued on his left rear hip (about 2"). It is deep shades of olive greens, with an embroidered brown body, gold antennae, and wings that sort of stick out, giving it a 3D effect, like a mystical moon moth has landed on him in all of his magical glory...
He is stuffed with magical herbs and flax seeds and bits of fluffy, raw sheep's wool. He has the mild scent of Chamomile Flowers and Rose Petals, his most aromatic herbal ingredients, which makes him smell like sunshine and summer fields. WEIGHTED with natural delights.....Merriweather Lovelace is stuffed with flax seeds and his favorite organic herbs (listed below). The spaces between that need extra padding are stuffed with fluffy, local raw sheep's wool. He weighs in at a hefty 1 pound, 2 ounces and measures about 9 inches from nose to rear and 8 inches from his hooves to the tips of his ears (sitting). With a heavy belly full of flax seeds and herbs, Merriweather Lovelace is a pleasure to hold, snuggle, and smell. He does not stand up on his own, due to the weight of the seeds ~ he's a very relaxed creature! The weight of him makes him an excellent companion for anyone who needs a calming, lifelike-feeling friend. He is unique, earthy, and delightful to the senses.
CAUTIONARY NOTES:
1) This critter is not meant for very young children (under the age of 5)! They tend to chew and suck on things, and this item is filled with herbs and small seeds that pose a choking hazard.
2) Please keep away from pets! They find our herb-filled creations enticing, and some of the herbs used can be unhealthy for pets to ingest.
3) This critter must stay dry! If he gets too wet, the flax seeds inside will gel together and then harden as they dry, effectively turning him to stone (or close enough)! So please only spot clean if necessary ~ there are instructions in the brochure included with purchase.
